PEOPLE in Farnham are being invited to join Churchill Retirement Living at its Hawthorn Lodge development for a special ‘warming morning’ to raise funds for The Woodlarks Centre.

Churchill is calling for locals to step out of the cold and into the warmth of its development on Longbridge at 10.30am on Wednesday (February 15), where they will be treated to luxury hot chocolate, liqueur coffees and delicious cakes in return for a small donation.

All the money raised will go towards The Woodlarks Centre in Farnham, which is a care home providing the highest quality of care and support for people with a range of disabilities.

The Churchill Foundation, Churchill’s new registered charity with Dame Esther Rantzen DBE as patron, will also match funds raised at its selected lodges across the region.

Spencer McCarthy, chairman and chief executive officer at Churchill Retirement Living, said: “We’re delighted to be holding our warming morning event to raise funds for such a worthwhile cause to help it continue its vital work in the local community.

“Every penny counts and so we’re asking as many people as possible to come along and support our event by digging deep, while having a really great time too. It’s the perfect excuse to enjoy a bit of indulgence, as well as an ideal opportunity for visitors to experience the lifestyle on offer at the Lodge.”
