BADSHOT Lea and Weybourne could double in size in coming years, it has been warned, with developers proposing to build more than 500 houses on fields to the east of Farnham.

Councillors in Farnham have long warned that the town and its surrounding countryside is vulnerable to over-development as a result of Government reforms to planning policy.

And Badshot Lea and Weybourne, where several large planning applications are currently in the pipeline or awaiting decision, are set to provide the area's first test cases.
