CAMPAIGNERS against the opening of a "super-quarry" in the new South Downs National Park have warned that if the plans become reality the area can expect decades of excavation, heavy lorries, and a legacy of destruction.
The Save Our Local Countryside Campaign is mounting stiff opposition to the proposals which operator Tarmac has indicated will be set out in a planning application.
