THAMES Water has completed major sewer repairs at the Shepherd and Flock roundabout two weeks ahead of schedule.

The utilities company was scheduled to close a lane of the busy roundabout for essential valve maintenance work until Tuesday, March 29.

However, having encountered no unforeseen problems the job proved to be a smooth operation and was completed on Tuesday this wee.

It comes after a delay in setting up the site led to three mile long tailbacks and delays of up to an hour-and-a-half on the A31 on Monday, March 7.
