WAVERLEY Borough Council's performance in determining planning applications within eight weeks has been worse this year than the last. Waverley has been placed 145th out of 293 local authorities in the latest performance league tables.

The government's target is that 80 per cent of planning application should be determined within eight weeks of being submitted but Waverley's average for the year ending March 31 was 63.6 per cent, down from 67.6 per cent last year.
