Waverley's motorists will have five road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And two of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with drivers facing holdups of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that three closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

A3, from 8pm November 23 to 6am November 29, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A3 both directions Thursley, slip road closures for Surrey County Council works, diversion via National Highways network.

M3, from 8pm November 20 to 6am December 9, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M3 both directions, junction 5, slip road and lane closure's for drainage works, diversion via National Highways Network.

A3, from 9pm October 23 2023 to 6am February 29 2024, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A3 both directions Hindhead Tunnel, Contraflow for electrical work.

And a further two closures will begin over the next two weeks:

A3, from 8pm December 11 to 6am December 15, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A3 northbound and southbound, Hindhead Tunnel, Contraflow for tunnel maintenance, diversion via Highways England network.

A3, from 8pm December 11 to 6am December 13, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A3 both directions Longmoor to Hazel Grove, carriageway closures for tunnel maintenance.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
