THE Safer Waverley Partnership has welcomed a report that cites the borough as having one of the lowest road injury rates in the country for accidents involving children.
The report, the first of its kind carried out in the UK, is based on research into five years of data that focused on more than 120,000 road accidents involving children.
It placed Waverley as the 29th safest local authority area for children when it comes to using the roads, out of 408 borough and district council areas.
