PLANNING applications lodged with Waverley Borough Council are taking longer on average to decide than they were last year, new figures have revealed.

The council has been placed 92nd out of 293 local planning authorities in a table issued by DETR, which shows that 69 per cent of Waverley's total applications are decided within eight weeks of being lodged, a fall of five per cent from last year's figures.
