CONCERNS that Farnham's infrastructure is inadequate to cope with even the current population of the town have failed to sway Waverley Borough Council from a strategy that almost 1,300 homes can be built in Farnham between 2012 and 2028.

The figure, representing around 37 per cent of the 3,614 new homes required to be built across the borough over that period, is within the Core Strategy expected to be submitted to an inspector in December.

Passed by Waverley's executive last week, the document will be set before the full council to approve for final consultation next Tuesday.
