A PARENT has launched a campaign for improved emergency health provision in Whitehill and Bordon.

Having lived in the town for seven years, James Brand said it was “disgusting that if my young family need medical attention, we would need to travel for up to an hour to the nearest A&E”.

“With all the houses being built in the area and the growing population, there should be a 24-hour A&E hospital for the residents of Whitehill and Bordon, Lindford, Headley and the surrounding rural villages,” he added.

“Currently, the nearest A&E is either Guildford or Basingstoke, both of which are an hour away by road and, given the increasing population, those existing A&Es will not be able to cope with the influx of people using the NHS services.

“Please help us to get the availability of emergency services in Whitehill and Bordon for the sake of our children and the residents in the area.”
