Why is there all this controversy about having a youth club in Farnham – did all these people miss their teenage years? I spent many a happy evening at the various venues of youth clubs in Farnham, and it gives me great pleasure when people stop and talk to me and say "don't you remember me at the youth club and the nice times we used to have". I am an octogenarian now so it was many years ago, and it is lovely to think they still remember me. Old people don't seem to remember we were all children once, and if you were given something to do, then you don't get into mischief. I was Betty Noble the but have been Betty Sparrow for the last 30 years.
