AN increase in Camelsdale's rat population has led to a request for residents not to feed the birds on Shottermill Ponds.
Speaking at a meeting of Fernhurst Parish Council last Wednesday on behalf of the Camelsdale Recreation Ground committee, Ann Thornhill said the problem is a widespread one which has spread from ponds as far as Camelsdale School.
