YEAR six pupils from Hale School travelled to London’s West End to watch the long-running smash-hit musical The Lion King.

The pupils’ trip to London’s Lyceum Theatre was funded by the ongoing work of Hale School’s PTA. It followed a visit by year two children to see Mary Poppins at the Mayflower Theatre in Southampton.

Deputy headteacher Ann Wheeler said: “The children had an amazing time. It was fantastic to watch their faces, especially the faces of children who have never experienced a full theatre production before.”
