WEYDON School U15 girls cricket team won all four of their matches in the Surrey finals making it through to the regional finals at the Ageas Bowl in Hampshire on Thursday, April 27.

Karl Brown, curriculum area leader for PE, said: “I am so proud of the team. The girls were superb in the way that they supported each other throughout the day, and it was lovely to see them grow in confidence and improve with each game. It will be a big step up but we are now all looking forward to the regional finals in April.”

Last year Weydon won an award from Surrey Schools’ Cricket for the development of girls’ cricket at the school. U13 girls have finished fourth in the indoor finals, and players and staff are looking forward to a good outdoor season this summer.
