A TEAM of Weydon School year 10 students scooped the top prize at Alton College’s debating competition.

Their topic was the electoral rise of right wing populist politicians around the world in 2017, and they successfully linked national concerns to an international perspective.

Judged by a panel of executives from Alton, they won the glass trophy, and a £10 Amazon voucher each.
