WEYDON School is once again hosting a ‘Get into Teaching’ event for people in the area considering training to be a teacher.
The event, on March 3, will be supported by some of the area’s most successful teacher training providers.
It comes on the back of Weydon teacher Mark Sharman featuring in a Facebook live panel for the Department for Education’s ‘Get into Teaching’ campaign for a second time.
Mark’s blog can now be read at medium.com/@getintoteaching
A school spokesman said: “If you have been inspired by the recent TV advertising campaigns or have been considering teaching as a career for a while, you can come and talk to teachers and current trainees who will be on hand on March 3 to answer questions about routes into teaching, the application process and the bursaries that are available.
“The event will be held in Weydon’s new theatre and the school will be highlighting its own teacher training programme which includes the vast majority of subjects across the secondary curriculum.
“For those thinking about training to teach locally, through the school-led approach, this will be a ‘must attend’ event.”
