AT the end of last term, Weydon School’s talented singers and musicians performed in their annual Christmas concert.
Performers were from all years in the school with choirs, soloists and the staff choir all entertaining the audience.
The school’s senior string quartet performed Handel’s Queen of Sheba and Clean Bandit’s Rather B and there was a particularly moving song by the new boys choir when they sang John Lennon’s Imagine.
This is a much-anticipated concert each year and Weydon didn’t disappoint with a huge array of talent on display.
The show closed with the audience and full ensemble singing a poignant rendition of Happy Xmas (War is Over).
Sarah Gilbert, director of performing arts said: “I am really proud of the students and staff involved and all the hard work they’ve put into rehearsing for the performance.
“They were fabulous on the night and should feel really proud of their achievements.”
