WEYDON School students visited New York City for four days during the February half term.
Sixty-four year ten and year 11 students went on the trip, which was organised for those studying art, drama, dance and textiles.
During the trip the students experienced workshops with Broadway actors, visited The Metropolitan Museum of Art (known as ‘The Met’) and went on a tour of the Garment District.
Students were also able to see some of New York’s famous landmarks such as, the Statue of Liberty, Brooklyn Bridge, 9/11 Memorial, Central Park, Times Square, Rockefeller Centre and the Empire State Building.
Weydon’s principal Jackie Sharman said: “The students had an amazing time participating in the workshops and visiting such iconic monuments and buildings.
“Thank you to all the staff who took time out of their half term to take the students on this wonderful trip.
“I’m sure they will never forget this incredible experience.”
