Party planners in North and South Farnham are the toast of their communities after treating thousands of people in Hale and The Bourne to a memorable day of fun.
Revellers were spoilt for choice last Saturday with the Hale Carnival and The Bourne Show taking place on the same day and both attracting huge crowds.
Hundreds of residents lined the pavements along Upper Hale Road to cheer on the procession headed by town crier, Michael Stephens and Cllr Catherine Powell.

Hippies, ketchup bottles and fish and chip-themed floats made their way to the recreation ground for an afternoon and evening of stalls, fairground rides and live music.
It was also a good carnival for Folly Hill Infant School, Bethel Baptist Church, William Cobbett Primary School and Jackstraw Morris as they won awards for their banners, floats and costumes, with Farnham MP Greg Stafford doing the honours.

The politician also handed out prizes at the amazing Bourne Show which attracted more than 3,000 people to Bourne Green.
The event was great for dozens of local businesses and charities as it featured more than 80 stalls while the grand marquee was also full of highlights with more than 50 competitive classes on display.
“There was loads to keep everyone entertained, from the ever-popular dog show to classic kids’ games,” said a spokesperson for the organisers.

“In the evening we also had the Big Bourne Bash with 500 party-goers enjoying live music and cocktails in the marquee.”
And while a surprise bout of torrential rain meant the clean-up operation was a bit damp the following morning, organisers were thrilled with the show’s success with sponsors getting a big ‘thank you’.
They added: “Huge thanks to our main sponsors – Curchods, Viable Power and Tessa Teichmann, the Everyday Stylist – for helping us make this unforgettable event happen.”
