A FUNDING boost has been given to several organisations thanks to grants from Whitehill Town Council.

Councillors at the executive committee meeting on October 9 agreed to award a grant of £350 to Headley All Saints Church, £250 to Victim Support and £2,500 to Whitehill and Bordon Town Partnership.

Council leader, Andy Tree said: “It is with great pleasure that we can support good causes locally, where this money can make a real difference to residents across Whitehill and Bordon.”

Curtis Bone, chairman of the town partnership added: “Whitehill and Bordon Town Partnership is once again planning the town’s Christmas event, we aim to provide free Christmas activities where everyone can enjoy the festive season.

“Thanks to funding from Whitehill Town Council we can confirm that Pumpkin Pantos will again be performing twice during the day on our outdoor stage.”

He said the event is “shaping up to be a great day”.
