TWO men were treated for smoke inhalation after firefighters responded to a wildfire in fields just north of Tilford on Monday.
Firefighters from six fire stations were called to the scene of the fire near Tilford Road at around 1.20pm and arrived to find six hectares ablaze.
South East Coast Ambulance Service also responded to the incident, and paramedics treated two men at the scene for “possible smoke inhalation”.
The cause of the fire is unknown, but Rushmoor Fire Station later tweeted to remind people that with the current heat, it is more important than ever to discard litter, especially cigarettes and glass bottles, appropriately.
