PROPOSALS to redevelop a long-derelict garage site in The Bourne have been thrown out by a planning inspector because the site may be harbouring badgers and bats.

Would-be developers Priory Land Ltd have been told by the inspector that they have not properly assessed the likely effect on legally protected species of redeveloping the Inchcape Toyota site at the Bourne crossroads.
