A PLAN to ensure that Petersfield's wildlife and nature can be protected for future generations to enjoy has been published.

The weighty 100-page biodiversity action plan – called Petersfield Nature – has been four years in the making and includes a foreword by British plant pathologist and radio and television gardening personality Pippa Greenwood, who is also the president of Petersfield in Bloom.

Published by the Biodiversity Group of the Petersfield Town Partnership, the purpose of the plan, say the authors, is to "ensure both wildlife and nature are considered, using best practice to maintain a healthy eco-system with biodiversity".
