ONE of the iconic ceramic poppies seen by more than five million visitors to the Tower of London’s Remembrance Day tribute last year, is on display at The Co-operative Funeralcare, in Haslemere, before being raffled for charity.

The sea of poppies created by artist Paul Cummins and designer Tom Piper were available to buy individually but sold out very quickly due to public demand.

Funeral arrangers Bill Hudson and Hazel Hawkswell said: “We are so pleased to be able to give members of the community a second chance to see one of the wonderful Tower of London poppies. One lucky raffle winner will also be taking the famous poppy home with them.”

Raffle tickets are on sale at the funeral directors or by calling (01428) 651153. The prizes will be drawn on November 11. All funds raised will go to the Royal British Legion.
