LIPHOOK was full of festive spirit as village shops and eager children took part in the first Christmas window competition and treasure hunt.

All participating shop windows contained a festive character for the children to locate and identify, and youngsters and parents could be seen around the village trying to spot them.

Andrew Meech, from organisers Liphook Business Initiative, said: "Both events were a great success. Thank you to everyone that took part, they have helped give Liphook a real Christmas feel and children seemed to have fun."
