A 34-year-old Petersfield woman who was injured in a collision last Thursday on the B3006 near Greatham has died.
Joanne Claire Matthews, of Test Close, Petersfield, died on Saturday, at Queen Alexandra Hospital, Cosham.
She was married with two children, aged five and six, and worked as a registered general nurse.
Mrs Matthews was trapped in her silver Vauxhall Vectra estate car for almost an hour after the vehicle, which was travelling from Greatham towards Selborne, collided with a tree alongside the B3006 near the junction with Snailing Lane at 9-05 am.
A Hampshire Constabulary accident investigation unit is investigating the cause of the collision.
Police have made an appeal for witnesses.
Officers from Whitehill police station closed the B3006 until 1-40 pm on the day of the accident while they investigated the scene.
Police spokesman Susan Rolling told The Herald: "At this time, police cannot establish the reason the Vauxhall left the road.
"Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to contact traffic police at Whitehill on 0845 045 45 45."
