THE Badshot Lea Wives Group has recently celebrated its 50th anniversary in style at a member’s garden.

Founded in 1966 the group has, over the years, visited various locations around the county, had lots of different social events and speakers and raised a lot of money for local charities.

The celebration gathering enabled past and present members to share stories and memories of events over the last 50 years.

Refreshments and a celebration cake completed the memorable evening.

A spokesman said: “Thank you to all club members over the years for keeping the club going – here’s to the next 50!”

The Badshot Lea Wives Group meets, usually in the St George’s Church Hall, on alternate Monday evenings, with a variety of activities and speakers.
