A WOMAN has been arrested after a man was stabbed in The Chantrys estate in Farnham last Sunday morning.

Police were called to The Chantrys shortly before 10am on October 18 following reports of a concern for safety, and on their arrival found a man with a stab wound to his stomach.

He was taken by air ambulance to St George’s Hospital in Tooting where he underwent surgery. He remains in hospital but his condition is described as stable.

A 20-year-old woman from Farnham was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm and released on bail, pending further enquiries.

She is set to return to Guildford police station on Friday, November 6.
