A PETERSFIELD woman who kept a secret family bank account for years while claiming thousands of pounds of benefits has been given 100 hours of community service and told to pay back more than £8,000 of fraudulently-claimed cash. Chloe Gale, of Dickins Lane, Petersfield, pretended to have split up with her partner in order to claim more housing benefit and council tax benefit. East Hampshire District Council investigators discovered that not only was her partner still living at the property, they also had a secret bank account which was used by the family.
