A TERRIFIED woman sustained serious bruising to her legs after being wedged against a wall by a car in Petersfield on Monday. The incident took place at around 10-30 am outside the Nationwide Building Society on the corner of Swan Street and Charles Street. Police said the 38-year-old woman from Clanfield was withdrawing money from a cashpoint when one of the two cars involved was in collision with her. Workers in Moss Pharmacy on the High Street reported hearing "terrifying screams" from the direction of the incident and staff from Nationwide and V hairdressers rushed to help the woman. Two ambulances arrived at the scene and police secured the area as paramedics carried out treatment.
