DETECTIVES are appealing for information after a robbery in Bordon on Monday.

A female pedestrian was walking along the A325, toward Farnham, at 4.45pm, when the driver of a gold Nissan Primera stopped to ask directions.

The woman leaned into the car to talk to a female passenger who showed her some jewellery.

She tried to move away from the vehicle but the passenger pulled her into the car through the window and started showing her more jewellery while holding her.

The woman managed to pull herself out of the car as the female passenger placed some jewellery into her hand and the vehicle drove off at speed. The victim then realised her own gold necklace was missing.

Detective Constable Dawn White, of the District CID team, said: "This was a very unusual incident whereby a woman was distracted by a car full of people who then stole her necklace.

"Did you witness this incident? Have you experienced anything similar? Do you know who these people are? If you have any information that can help, please get in touch."
