SQUIRE’S Garden Centre in Badshot Lea has chosen The Woodlarks Centre in Farnham as its dedicated charity of the year for 2015/2016.
The Woodlarks Centre is a care home and activity day centre, which supports adults with various physical or learning disabilities and impairments.
Squire’s will support the charity through to September next year. During this time, the garden centre will raise awareness of Woodlarks through their charity marketing material, along with ongoing fundraising from events and collection boxes. All donations from the public will go directly to the charity.
Sarah Squire, deputy chairman of Squire’s, said: “We are delighted to be supporting The Woodlarks Centre as our charity of the year, chosen by our staff at Badshot Lea because they are passionate about supporting the local community. We hope to be able to donate a generous amount throughout the year, with thanks to our customers, and to support the charity on specific projects through the sharing of our time, skills and expertise.
Squire’s has invited families of The Woodlarks Centre to an exclusive preview of their new Ice Grotto Adventure, before the official opening to the public on Saturday, November 21, by Santa, who will be arriving in style on a horse-drawn carriage.
He will even be bringing some of his real reindeer with him. Come and watch Santa arrive and meet his reindeer on November 21 and 28 at 10am it’s free (no ticket required).
After watching Santa’s grand arrival, visitors are invited to visit Squire’s Ice Grotto Adventure?
It’s a magical interactive journey, where you will meet with Santa’s chief elf Elfin, and together embark on an adventure to save Christmas.
Children will then visit Santa in his Grotto, and if they have been very good they will receive an early Christmas present. Tickets cost £7/£8 per child and £3 for adults, which includes the interactive adventure plus a wrapped Christmas gift for children.
