A LONG-time volunteer at the Woodlarks campsite for disabled people in Farnham has raised £3,000 and counting for the Frimley Park Hospital cancer unit.
David Bywater offered to have a short back and sides and a complete beard shave to raise funds for the unit following the treatment for cancer of a dear friend and fellow volunteer of the Woodlarks Campsite Trust.
Now in his 60s, David has had long hair and a beard for as long as anyone can remember, so it was a massive undertaking for him, said a friend.
Lucie Sediva, from Headcase Barbers in Farnham, arranged for one of her staff, Carlo, to visit the campsite and perform the hair-raising deed.
