THROUGH various fundraising activities this Christmas, Woolmer Forest Lions Club raised more than £1,000 – and is now thanking those who supported them.
Welfare committee chairman, Maureen Johns put together around 30 Christmas Yellow Bags containing food and toys for the Bordon and adjacent communities.
She said: “We thank the community for supporting us, so we can help the wider community, to enjoy some Christmas cheer.”
A soft toy stall at Bordon’s Christmas fayre raised £182, while Santa’s Sleigh, which appeared in Grayshott, Tesco and Country Market, raised £900.
