LIPHOOK’S Millennium Centre management committee has now set a date for repairing the floor in the main hall.
Work will start next Monday, August 15, and is due to take three days. The main hall will be closed for a week to allow the coating to firm up.
Last June, councillors voted against an earlier proposal to replace the floor at a cost of £35,000, which would have meant a two-month closure of the hall.
The popular monthly roller disco is expected to return to the Millennium Centre, in September.
In addition, work on the amphitheatre behind the main hall has now been completed and fresh turn has been laid across the whole area.
Once the turf has taken, the contractor will return to roll it and plans are being made to keep the area clear of litter and deter vandalism.
