World Cup fever mounted at Haslemere’s Fringe Festival after the Three Lions beat Sweden in Saturday’s quarter-finals – even if the country was left feeling flat four days later when England crashed out of the semi-finals, beaten 2-1 by Croatia.
Headliners Scouting For Girls kicked up a storm by performing their 2014 World Cup single England I Still Believe.
The year’s three day festival on the appropriately named Lion Green attracted a record crowd, with Saturday a sell-out with money raised going to the Haslemere Festival and The Royal British Legion.
