ALTON mayor Pam Jones has been busy presenting prizes for a junior art competition.

Mrs Jones was on hand at the town’s Allen Gallery on December 5 to reward the creative youngsters.

Based on the theme of nature, the competition was split into two, with Robyn Armstrong (left) winning the prize in the five to seven year olds category and Lois Streek (right) taking the award for the best entry in the eight to 11 year olds section.

They are pictured with David Tandy, of Alternative Packaging Solutions, who sponsored and donated the prizes for the competition.

All entries in the competition will remain on display at the Allen Gallery in Church Street, Alton, until tomorrow (Saturday).
