POLICE have appealed for witnesses after a young boy was hit by a car near the Co-op supermarket in Farnborough Road.

The 12-year-old was taken to hospital with a broken ankle, broken elbow and bruising on his right lung following the crash at around 7.30pm on Tuesday evening (July 5).

It happened between the junctions with North Avenue and Alma Lane, and involved a red Citroen Picasso.

South East Coast Ambulance Service treated the boy at the scene before transporting him to Frimley Park Hospital.
