A FOOTBALL tournament that attracts legions of talented youngsters from across the South kicked off last weekend in Petersfield.

Bosses at Petersfield Town Juniors have proved they're in a league of their own when it comes to organising major tournaments.

More than 200 youth teams from across the region travelled to Penns Field last weekend to compete in the club's annual six-a-side competition.

This year's competition was the 34th renewal and attracted teams from as far afield as West Sussex, Berkshire and Kent.

And there was plenty of local interest with Petersfield Town Juniors, Liss Athletic, Horndean, Alton United and Liphook all submitting teams.
