YOUNG people will get the chance to take a well-deserved bow next month, as Petersfield launches its inaugural Outstanding Youth Awards.

The awards will recognise young people from around the area who have excelled in their chosen sport or activity or have given more of their time and gone the extra mile to help others.

It could also be a young person who gives up their time to help others in need, be it a family member or a friend or someone who helps out at a group or club.

The Outstanding Youth Awards is a new and special feature of next month's Petersfield Spring Festival, which takes place in The Square on May 7.
