SCHOOLCHILDREN have learned about architecture and urban design through a series of workshops at the University for the Creative Arts in Farnham.

One-hundred-and-fifty pupils from St Polycarp's, St Peter's, Farham Heath End, All Hallows and Hale schools, were set the task of redesigning Farnham's Castle Street during December.

They displayed their ideas on scale models and created new concepts – from street fairs and pedestrian crossings to bridges and blimps - to show how they would improve the environment to make it safer and more appealing to the public.
