BUDDING young rugby players have converged on the town for a sporty taster session.

The occasion was the annual mini-rugby workshop, held over three days at Penns Place.

And the workshop, run by Petersfield Rugby Club, proved as popular as ever as 90 children tried their hand at the sport under the watchful eye of qualified coaches.

Run from Friday to Sunday, the event saw youngsters from the age of five to 11 don their rugby kits for the taster sessions which aim to encourage youngsters to either take up the game or hone their existing rugby skills.
