THIS year’s Reception children at Potters Gate CofE School in Farnham have been excited to be the first to enjoy the newly refurbished infants playground which opened this term.
The Bumblebees and Ladybirds are fortunate to have their own professionally designed play space, which incorporates activities to promote problem solving, collaboration and imagination. While playing in the outdoor classroom area the children are able to develop socially and physically through role play, creative and science based activities that have sparked their imagination, judging by the elaborate structures they are building.
Double doors from each classroom promote a free flow to the outdoors, and a low fence separates it from the main playground, so that the children have a personal space to play while still being able to enjoy time on the main playground.
Headteacher Jayne Venables said: “The school is looking forward to inviting prospective new families in to view the school and the wonderful new space available to their children. Contact Potters Gate School to arrange an appointment.”
