POLICE have increased patrols at Sainsbury's in Water Lane, Farnham following reports of youths using the supermarket car park as a race track.
It comes after residents of Hurlands Close to the rear of the supermarket complained of excessive vehicle noise between 10pm and midnight.
Pc Dave Woodrow spent a number of evenings waiting in his police car to catch the culprits and his patience finally paid off on New Year's Eve.
He was again waiting in the car park on December 31 when he heard a screeching of tyres and a car came round the Water Lane roundabout.
The driver of the offending car was issued with a S59 warning and as yet, Pc Woodrow reports no more complaints have been received since.
Neighbourhood Police are working with Sainsbury's to keep the racers away for good, and a further letter will be sent from Sainsbury's to the driver.
