TWELVE Alton Runners tackled the London Marathon after months of gruelling training.

All completed the course and received their hard-earned medals, including rookie runner Vicky Jarman.

Vicky Bishop finished a creditable 5,814th overall in a time of 3hrs 27mins 13secs, placing her 795th among the women.

The runners and their supporters raised funds for a variety of causes, including the Batten Disease Family Association, Ecuador Earthquake Relief and NEPTanzania.
