A record 67 people attended the Farnham Runners AGM at the Seale & Sands Royal British Legion club.
Justin Clarke was voted in as the new club chairman and Linda Tyler as ladies’ captain while Colette Grist joins the committee as welfare officer and Matt Saker as men’s captain.
There was a vote of thanks to Jane Georghiou as the outgoing ladies’ captain, a position she has held for the past 30 years.
First up for awards were the five top men (Joe Collins, Ivan Chunnett, James Robinson, Tony Jones and Richard Denby/Jamie Lyons) and ladies (Linda Tyler, Candy Waller, Bridget Naylor, Colette Grist and Gemma Whitehouse) in the club’s Grand Prix.

Ivan Chunnett and Candy Waller won trophies for the most personal bests out of the 12 Hampshire Road League races.
Linda Tyler received the Hampshire Road League T-shirt for completing all 12 races last season.
The club’s 2024 marathon trophies went to Nik Darlington and Emma Pearson.
Linda Tyler and Julia Tagg won the Steve Parker Award and the Chairman’s Award respectively.

The award in memory of Alison Yearsley went to Jackie Wilkinson for commitment to the club, while Leza Milligan received the Smiley Award.
The Michelle Obama Award for Strong Women went to Julia Tagg and Louise Granell for taking the strength classes.
The Chumbawumba Award went to Candy Waller, Sandra Hickey and Terry Steadman, while the Boomerang Award went to Charles Ashby.
The Technicolour Award went to Gemma Whitehouse, while the David Attenborough Award went to Howard Inns.

The Peggy Mitchell Award for services behind the bar went to Clair Bailey, while the Get Me Started Improver Award went to Joe Napier.
The Young Runner of the Year Award went to Laylan Pointon-Berkowitz, while the Proclaimers Award went to Colette Grist, Kate Townsend and Ivan Chunnett.
