BADSHOT Lea Tennis Club held an open afternoon on Sunday as part of the nationwide LTA Great British Tennis Weekend.

With blue skies above, visitors flocked to the courts for free tennis and coaching. Those not on court were able to meet new people and catch up with old friends, and all enjoyed the refreshments on offer.

Thanks to the efforts of the club members and coaches, the afternoon was a great success and made the community aware of the excellent tennis facilities on their doorstep. Another GBTW is scheduled for July.

Badshot Lea Tennis Club will welcome newcomers to their club evenings on Thursdays (6pm until dusk). The courts are on the recreation ground behind the Village Green and are available for public hire.
