ALTON Town were involved in the only Combined Counties League fixture to survive the weather on Saturday and came away from Colliers Wood, always a tough place to visit, with a valuable point.

Conditions were predictably difficult at the Wibbandune Sports Ground in West Wimbledon, but Steve Brown continued to make an impact on his return for the Brewers, first putting the visitors in front and then equalising with 18 minutes remaining.

And after losing Scott Sanderson and James Wade to injuries before half-time, Alton had to see it as a point gained.
