BENTLEY A moved to the top of the Aldershot League Division One after crushing 9-1 victories over Central A and Ash A.
Andy Mudie was undefeated in the two matches, while Steve French and Micky Lang both won five out of six.
Central B, two points behind, having also played 14 matches, whitewashed Frimley A 10-0. Martin Townshend, Robin Pretty and Andy Appleby plundered the points.
Tennis B, meanwhile, dented the title prospects of their A team by beating them 7-3. Paul Myers won all his matches for the Bs and George Earle bagged a brace, as did the A team’s Eliot Tilley.
Tennis C plunged Ash B into deep relegation trouble with an 8-2 mauling. Graham Diplock secured a maximum, supported by doubles from Shaun Newbold and Paul Shakespeare.
Tennis D overcame close rivals Cody B 6-4 to go top of Division Two. Michael Kwan was unbeaten for Tennis and Duncan Sibbick and Paul Mission won two each for Cody.
Frimley D continued their improvement in Division Three when their two-man team beat Cody C 6-4. Anthony Connelly claimed a maximum for the winners and Tony Harrison won twice for Frimley.
Frimley C whitewashed Ash D, with John Eade, Peter Farrelly and Bob Walker unstoppable for the champions elect.
Cody E, the Division Four leaders, inflicted an 8-2 defeat on promotion hopefuls Tennis J. Alan Richards reeled off a hat-trick and team-mates Kim Phillips and Nigel Roberts won two apiece, both losing to Charles Burton.
Crawley Ridge B kept their promotion push on track with an 8-2 victory over Ash H, with trebles for Peter Greenwood-Sleep and Richard Pape.
