FARNHAM Road Club’s last two evening time trials have been dominated by the returning James Boyman.

His time of 19mins 30secs for the 10-mile distance on July 5 gave him a clear margin of victory over Jack Donaldson (Neon Velo) who clocked 21-10. Steve Williamson (a3crg) claimed third in 21-15 and fourth was Elisabeth-Jane Harris (Podium Ambition) in 22-32. Laura Bartlett of a3crg recorded 23-15.

Stuart Willis was the fastest of Farnham’s other riders in 23-51. Roger Chapman recorded 24-18, Mike Fricker 25-04, tandem pair Andy Weller and Zoe Gibbs 25-17, John Cooke 25-23, Paul Barber 25-31, Alan Kirby 25-38, Huw Lloyd 25-44 and Jim Parker 25-44. Timekeepers were Jim Brown, Ian Thomas and Michael Rice. Ian also dealt with the race signs, while Nigel Bicknell acted as ‘pusher-off’.

Boyman repeated his victory the following Tuesday in the slightly quicker time of 19-27, with Steve Williamson (a3crg) claiming second in 20-32 and Ryan Smith (HR Owen/Maserati) third in 21-23.

Wyndymilla’s Nasima Saddiqui, the only lady rider, finished in 27-11. Timekeepers were Jim Brown and Michael Rice, signs by Jim Parker and ‘pushing-off’ by Jim Parker and Nigel Bicknell.
